The taste of this rum is a little bit nutty; like almonds and hazelnuts combined. There are some hints of charcoal, too, and the aftertaste seems a little bIt like caramelized butter. It seems like a natural accompaniment to butter, which is the main reason why hot buttered rum is enjoyed by so many.
